My Favourite Fruits When I Was Child


 Favourite childhood fruit and usefulness
When I was kid, I like ‘blusukan’ or  to look for wild fruits in the fields to eat. Unfortunately lately I rarely see wild fruits it around my house. The fruits name is Cimplukan, Kawista, Jamblang, Kersen, and Ceremai. Here's a little explanation about the benefits of the wild fruits.

1.Cimplukan
Ceplukan or cimplukan is the name of a type of small fruit, which when ripe covered by the magnification of the petals. Like a lantern in lampion or tiny bells.
Cimplukan which in Latin is called Physalis angulata is one of the herbal plants that live one season and has a height of about 1 meter. In English known as Cutleaf groundcherry, wild tomato, camapu, and winter cherry. Whereas in scientific language (Latin) called Physalis angulata synonymous with Physalis peruviana and Physalis minima.
The leaves are useful as a drug Cimplukan fracture healing, dropsy, boils, ulcers, heart booster, sprains, stomach pain, and gonorrhea. While the fruit itself is often eaten directly ciplukan to treat epilepsy, difficult urination, and jaundice.
In cimplukan tree contains the active compounds include saponins (shoot), flavonoids (leaves and buds), polyphenols, and fisalin (fruit), Withangulatin A (fruit), palmitic acid and stearic (seed), alkaloids (root) , Chlorogenik acid (stems and leaves), tannins (fruit), kriptoxantin (fruit), vitamin C and sugars (fruits).
Cimplukan can be used as antihiperglikemi, antibacterial, antiviral, immunostimulant and immunosuppressant (immunomodulators), anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic, and cytotoxic. Also as a laxative urine (diuretic), neutralize toxins, relieve cough, activate the body's glands and anti-tumor.
Generally grow wild, cimplukan commonly found mixed with other herbs and shrubs in gardens, fields, fields that dries, curb, edge of the forest and forest fragments that are open illuminated sun.
The fruit is popular with children. All parts of the plant, from the leaves to the roots and usually dried first, used as a traditional medicine.
2.Kawista
Kawista (Limonia acidissima syn. Feronia Limonia) is a close relative of maja and still included in the rate-jerukan citrus (Rutaceae). Plants utilized this fruit is rarely found although now some areas began to develop. Kawista relatively resistant to adverse conditions (dry or saline soils) and disease resistance. It originates from southern India to the Southeast Asia and Java.
Kawista can be used as a rootstock for citrus, but it affects the taste of citrus fruit produced. This kind of citrus fruit known as "kajer" (from "Kawista" and "orange") and can be found in Galis, Madura.

3. Jamblang
Jamblang (Syzygium cumini) or also called rivet nut and fruit trees Duwet is a kind of tribal Syzygium (Myrtaceae). Jamblang mixed fruit tastes sweet and sour astringent. 4. Kersen
Kersen or Talok (Muntingia calabura L.) is a kind of small fruit trees at once sweet and bright red. In some areas, such as Jakarta, is also named cherry fruit. Kresen fruit tastes sweet.
5.Ceremai
Ceremai or cereme the scientific name (latin) called Phyllanthus acidus (L.) Skeells, which is synonymous with Phyllanthus acidus Müll.Arg., P. Cicha, Cicca disticha, C. ACIDA Merr., C. nodiflora and Averrhoa ACIDA. At first glance, ceremei tree (Phyllanthus acidus) is similar to the tree starfruit (Averrhoa bilimbi). But the both of fruit is very different. The fruit tends to sour tastes sweet. So better if made sweets.
